Kodo Gi Grips are the link between the hard training you do in the gym and your performance on the mat. Designed to fortify the grip strength of BJJ and Judo athletes, it'll work equally as well for anyone wanting to strengthen their grip or create variation in their exercise routine.
The Kodo Gi Grip is an extremely versatile tool and can be used for a wide variety of exercises. Our grips measure 26" in overall length and 7" wide. Please check out our Video Exercise Library for exercise ideas! Here are just a few of the many exercises that are possible.
- Bicep Hammer Curls
- Tricep Pushdowns
- Cable Rows
- Face Pulls
- Gi Grip Pullups (Just slide off the carabiner and toss it over your pull up bar)
- Wrist and Forearm Strengthening
Our grips are designed to handle serious weight. The Gi Grip was designed to be attached to functional trainers (cable stack equipment) like the ones at your gym, but can easily hold to up to Uchikomo drills using bands as well.
Features
- Easily Machine Washable. Just slip off the carabiner and wash it along with your Gi in cold water.
- Highest quality, heavy-weight Gi material will hold up to intense grip training.
- Custom aluminum carabiner designed with no sharp edges. Hardware store carabiners always have sharp edges that pinch or cut your fingers. These won't tear up the Gi Grip material, your hands or exercise bands.
- Logo embroidered inner sleeve reinforcement for added strength.
- Reinforced carabiner holes for durability.
- Light-weight and portable. Tired of using the grimy tricep rope at your gym? Throw your Gi Grip in your gym bag.
Want to save 10%? Simply purchase two or more Gi Grips and the discount will automatically be applied to your cart. Military and First Responders discount also available in checkout. Thank you!
Having two grips opens up a world of new exercise possibilities. We highly recommend having a pair, especially for performing Uchikomi Drills (attach to bands via the included carabiners or slide off the carabiner and wrap the Gi Grip around a handle of your bands). Check out our Video Library for two grip variations!
How to clean:
- Remove the aluminum carabiner to prevent damage to your washing machine
- Wash in cold water with mild detergent
- Hang dry only

These grips are an amazing addition to any training program!
Thanks Mike! Hope you and your Judo and BJJ students give them a workout!
Everything about this seems high quality, from the strength of the material, the stitching of the carabiner holes, and the fabric feels amazing. This can work the fingers in ways most tool don't.
Thanks for the review Sean here and on IG! It was great to meet you in person and learn about your website launch-thanks again for your purchase. David
Well made and extremely versatile! Would recommend to anyone looking for an attachment that can be used for many different exercises.
Thanks so much Andrew and thanks for posting your workout on Instragram as well using our grips. Also very cool to see all of the machines in your gym :)
This is a really nice attachment - especially for bicep curls and face pulls. The material is grippy but doesn’t hurt and is super strong so I’m not worried about it failing. Also nice that the fabric can be washed! Underrated is the super nice carabiner that doesn’t have teeth so it won’t damage the cloth when you take it off to wash the attachment.
Thanks Harrison! It was awesome getting to meet you and chatting about the grip comp! Made me start looking into it for next year :)
Awesome grip idea as it really challenges grip strength while allowing for pulling in whatever natural way your hand desires!
Thanks Marcus! Awesome to hang out with you and I appreciate your feedback. David
